We chose certified organic maca from a local crop in Peru, where it grows naturally.
The choice of extensive cultivation for our maca: unlike intensive cultivation, extensive agriculture does not aim to force the productivity of the soil but to work with natural conditions: wild lands remain fallow for 3 to 4 years to allow the soils to naturally recover their essential minerals.
Following traditional methods, once harvested, the maca is dried in the sun for 2 to 3 months and then transformed into flour.
