Oligosol Lithium ampoules are recommended as a supplement for managing minor psychological or psychosomatic symptoms in adults and children over 6 years old, such as mild sleep disturbances or irritability.
Composition of Oligosol Lithium Ampoules
Each 2 ml ampoule contains:
8.140 mg of lithium gluconate
(equivalent to 0.2796 mg of elemental lithium)
Other ingredients: anhydrous glucose and purified water.
Excipient with known effect: glucose.
How to Take the Oligosol Lithium Supplement
Oligosol Lithium is taken sublingually: hold the contents of the ampoule under the tongue for 1 to 2 minutes before swallowing.
It is preferably taken in the evening before bedtime. Alternatively, it can be taken in the morning on an empty stomach, or 15 minutes before a meal.
Dosage of Oligosol Lithium (Labcatal)
For adults:
Recommended dosage is 2 to 4 ampoules (or single-dose containers) per day.
For children over 6 years old:
Recommended dosage is 1 to 2 ampoules (or single-dose containers) per day.
Note: In children, behavioral or sleep disorders should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
Not suitable for:
Children under 6 years old, infants, and newborns. The use of this supplement is contraindicated in these groups.
Contraindications of Oligosol Lithium Supplement
This supplement should not be used:
If you are allergic to any of its components.
In children under 6 years old.
In individuals with glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome (a rare hereditary condition).
In cases of severe renal failure, especially if used chronically (risk of renal tumors).
Precautions – Use in Mental Health Disorders
Oligosol Lithium, as a trace element supplement, should not be used to treat serious mental health conditions such as:
Bipolar (manic-depressive) disorders
Certain psychiatric conditions or behavioral disorders
These conditions require therapeutic levels of lithium in the blood (0.5–0.8 mEq/L), which cannot be achieved with this supplement. Always consult your doctor if you are experiencing mental health issues before using Oligosol Lithium.
Use During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Use of Oligosol Lithium is not recommended during:
Pregnancy (due to potential risk of fetal heart defects)
Breastfeeding
