Biotin is an organic compound found in both plant tissues
and animals. It is included in the B group vitamins. Other names for biotin are also often used: vitamin B7 and vitamin H.
 
Biotin is an essential component of enzymes that catalyse many processes in the body, especially key ones
in the synthesis of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
